White folks, educate yourselves. If you believe in racial justice, do this work. Turn inward to see how your white privilege and unconscious biases interfere with your ability to connect with POC and prevent the creation of a racially just society. Whites who don’t do this work are complicit with the efforts to keep white supremacy in place. White supremacists who gather for rallies and whites who stand by in shock, paralyzed with disbelief share culpability in the heinous acts of verbal and physical assault that target people of color. I have no use, no patience for either. You need to check your people now. You know which ones: those in your family, your coworkers, your well-meaning friends, your colleagues, those you supervise, strangers in stores/restaurants, etc. I am fully aware that this list is not exhaustive. This list is short and manageable. Hopefully it will inspire you to seek out even more resources out there. Please share.
