White folks, it is crucial that you educate yourselves. If you believe in racial justice, do this work. Study the resources below.  Turn inward to see how your white privilege and the unconscious biases that interfere with your ability to connect and become allies with POC in the effort to create of a racially just society. This work is an essential component of dismantling white supremacy. White people who don’t do this work are complicit with the efforts that keep white supremacy in place. White supremacists who gather for rallies and white people who stand by in shock, paralyzed with disbelief, share culpability in the heinous acts of verbal and physical assault that target people of color.  Create white caucus groups to educate and challenge each other to grow.  Whether it’s family members, coworkers, friends, colleagues, those you supervise, or strangers in stores/restaurants (ranging from the most overtly racist to the “nice and well-meaning”), hold each other accountable. I am fully aware that my list of resources is not exhaustive. It is short and manageable. My hope is that it will inspire you to seek out even more resources out there. Please share.
